About this role

At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.

Lyft’s Social Impact team exists to bring our values to life outside of the walls of Lyft’s offices. In particular, the team focuses on finding ways to use transportation—Lyft’s superpower—to increase access and opportunity for all.

We’re searching for a motivated, highly organized self-starter to join our Policy team as a Social Impact Specialist based in Toronto, ON. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Social Impact, this role serves as an essential bridge between social impact strategy and tactical policy operations. We need a team player who is ready to roll up their sleeves, think critically about what impact means, oversee the intersection of national and local programs across the US, Canada, and beyond, and ensure smooth day-to-day coordination across our initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Program Execution & Community Engagement

• Support the execution of Core Social Impact programs (e.g., Round Up & Donate, Jobs Access, Disaster Response, and more).

• Act as a bridge between Social Impact and relevant stakeholders by creating and communicating strategies, playbooks, and toolkits for teams to coordinate with broader plans.

• Support and lead external partnerships with Canadian and international non-profit organizations

• Ride Code & Sponsorship Management

• Facilitate ride donation programs with partner organizations to ensure successful budgeting, ride code creation, and tracking.

• Oversee the internal operational process to request, approve, generate, and monitor "ride codes" for third-party event sponsorships and social impact initiatives.

• Maintain a centralized tracking system for ride code requests and usage to ensure consistency, proper utilization, and execution of best practices.

• Establish strong cross-functional relationships with the procurement, accounting, and legal teams as needed to execute contracts and procurement efficiently.

• Project Coordination & Data Management

• Manage and maintain data collection systems to gather metrics and stories from partners and programs.

• Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take detailed notes, and track action items using shared project management tools.

• Develop briefing materials, presentations, internal memos, and external communications (e.g., drafts for blog posts or website info).

• Support Sustainability team with contracts and invoicing, as well as project management as needed.

Experience

• Experience: 2–3+ years of experience in project management, corporate social impact, non-profits, policy operations, or a highly related coordination role.

• Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to lead meetings, facilitate conversations with internal/external executives, and synthesize complex updates clearly.

• Regional Knowledge: Experience working at both a national and local level (e.g., managing local Canadian affiliates or chapters of a broader organization). French proficiency is a plus.

• Data & Budget Savvy: High proficiency in spreadsheets, data management, and basic financial analysis (e.g., tracking large budgets, invoicing, and reporting).

• Technical Toolkit: Expert in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail). Proficiency with tools like Slack, Oracle, Jira, Mode, or similar project management systems is strongly
