Join us as we build our Data Governance team in Slovenia or Brazil (hybrid) and help transform how we manage and use data to improve business outcomes, enhance productivity, strengthen operational efficiency, and foster collaboration across the organization. Where You’ll Make a Difference IFF’s Digital team is seeking a Global Data Governance Officer to help establish and maintain our Data Governance Organization. Reporting to the Director of Data Governance, you will work closely with Data Owners and Data Stewards, take part in governance implementation, deliver training, and provide guidance on data-related topics across the Taste organization. Ensure data quality and governance by designing and implementing data quality controls, identifying data issues, performing root cause review, and coordinating timely remediation activities. Maintain governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures through continuous improvement initiatives, governance council meetings, documentation of outcomes, follow-up actions, and adoption activities. Partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define and maintain data standards, business rules, critical data elements, and accountability models across the organization. Work with business and technical teams to align data requirements, governance priorities, and deliverables. Monitor and maintain data quality through audits, metadata verification, data profiling, and stewardship activities; maintain data catalogs and business glossaries. Develop, track, and report Data Governance and Data Quality key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business outcomes and continuous improvement. Review key business processes and data flows to identify governance opportunities, improve data management practices, and contribute to business needs. Deliver training and awareness sessions that promote governance best practices and foster a data-informed culture across the organization. Work with Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) teams to integrate governance processes and tools into the broader data ecosystem, maintain governance documentation, and contribute to accurate governance reporting. What Makes You the Right Fit Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Reporting, Computer Science, Information Governance, or a related field. 2 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Master Data Management, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Stewardship, Master Data Management, Data Lifecycle Management concepts, and broader data management practices; familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK is a plus. Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data quality metrics and communicate findings clearly. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across business and technical teams. Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate discussions and deliver training. Knowledge of how master and transactional data relate to business processes and business outcomes. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, will help you succeed in this role.
