Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain front-end applications using modern web technologies such as React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Build and support back-end services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Python, or Node.js under the guidance of senior engineers Participate in application design discussions and technical reviews Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering standards and best practices Perform unit testing, support defect resolution, and collaborate with QA teams to ensure product quality Work with databases and write basic SQL queries to support application functionality Learn and utilize CI/CD pipelines, source control tools, and cloud technologies to support software deployment and operations Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (B.Tech, BE, MCA, M.Tech, MSc) 2+ years of experience in software development Solid knowledge of Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming language Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control (Git), and Agile methodologies Understanding of REST APIs, database concepts, and SQL Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Node.js Demonstrated solid problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills Demonstrated excellent communication, collaboration, and learning agility Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare domain knowledge Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), microservices, CI/CD tools, and AI-enabled application development At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
