Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Driver (G2 2nd Shift) at our new location at 517 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm until 1:30 am and Friday from 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm. This position is eligible for a variable pay incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: In the Material Handler position you will receive and issue raw materials, assemblies, sub-assemblies, tools, and supplies and forward all necessary paperwork to computer services for data entry, assist the planners and buyers on material availability related processes and box, pack and ship finished product and all raw materials, as appropriate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • You will contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties. • You will use a variety of material handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load arriving or leaving from backroom area and for placing material in the proper bin location or delivering material to the work centers. • You will proactively identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production. • You will be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before shipping, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. • You will cross train and stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary. • You will use supply chain tracking systems to maintain inventory. • You will be required to operate a forklift to move material. • You will fulfill job carts. • You write up scrap forms. • You will utilize the computer, including, the utilization of DMM, AS400 and Enovia • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. • Forklift Certified. • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Knowledge of AS400 and its application in daily operations. Skills: POSITION CRITERIA: Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. Utilize various hand tools to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment. Additional Information: PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel.
