Overview

The Microsoft Events Content Strategy & Orchestration team transforms business priorities into compelling content experiences at Microsoft events. We define content strategy, develop narratives, and coordinate delivery across marketing, sales, and engineering teams to ensure content is clear, cohesive, and impactful at scale. We are looking for a Director, Digital and Broadcast Content Strategy to lead the strategy for broadcast and digital content across Microsoft’s event portfolio. This role will shape how Microsoft designs, prioritizes, packages, distributes, and measures digital content experiences for digital event attendees. This leader will create clarity on why digital and broadcast event content exists, who it serves, what content experiences we deliver, and how success is measured. They will partner deeply across event strategy, content, production, sponsorship, integrated marketing, product marketing, communications, creative, and measurement teams to ensure digital and broadcast content is audience-first, strategically aligned, and designed for impact before, during, and after each event.   Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Responsibilities

Digital & Broadcast Content Strategy Own and evolve the digital and broadcast content strategy across Microsoft’s commercial event portfolio, including digital events such as Frontier Transformation Week and flagship events such as Microsoft Ignite and Microsoft Build. Define how digital, broadcast, and on-demand content experiences support event objectives, audience engagement, business priorities, and long-term content value. Translate business objectives into clear digital and broadcast content strategies, programming approaches, and audience experiences that scale across events and channels. Define success measures for digital and broadcast content experiences and use audience insights, engagement data, and event outcomes to inform future strategy.   Audience & Content Architecture Partner with event strategy, content, and marketing leaders to ensure digital and broadcast experiences are aligned to audience needs, customer journey stages, and Microsoft priorities. Shape content architectures that connect executive storytelling, product innovation, customer proof points, technical depth, and sponsor value into cohesive audience experiences. Ensure content is designed as a lifecycle asset, extending value before, during, and after events. Cross-functional Leadership & Partnership Serve as the strategic lead for digital and broadcast content planning while partnering closely with production and digital experience teams that own execution. Provide strategic inputs for production planning, space planning, programming windows, talent needs, content capture priorities, and post-event publishing requirements. Partner with sponsorship, marketing, and event stakeholders to identify content opportunities that deliver value for audiences, partners, and the business.   Other Embody our  Culture   &  Values .

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications 5+ years business to business, business to consumer, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience OR equivalent experience.   Additional/preferred qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, Performing Arts, or related field AND 10+ years business to business, business to consumer, enterprise technology, digital, or experiential/event
