What You Will Do
The Senior Metallurgical Engineer objective is conduct testing and material investigations within the Columbus Forge manufacturing facility. Review engineering documentation to ensure it contains the necessary quality assurance and customer provisions and criteria. Serve as an issue resolution focal point that works with engineering, customer service support, and operations to drive continuous improvement in products and processes. Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities. Various quality issues related to internal non-Conformances, product returns, supplier issues, customer complaints and corrective action requests with clear and concise reports to customers. Participate on cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership, with coaching and assistance by the Material Control Laboratory Manager.
Qualifications
You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials science or metallurgical environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials science or metallurgical environment Experience working with internal and external customer requirements to resolve findings Understand and interpret engineering technical data to provide guidance to cross functional teams Knowledge of document control and calibration systems; query data from database systems Experience interpreting manufacturing drawings Qualifications We Prefer: Bachelor’s degree in
