Job Description We're looking for a Software Engineer to join the Content APIs team, building the backend services that power NBCUniversal's digital products and content experiences. You'll develop and maintain APIs, backend services, and cloud-native applications while collaborating with experienced engineers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer early in their career who is eager to learn modern backend technologies, distributed systems, and cloud-native development. Responsibilities
Backend & API Development Develop, test, and maintain backend services and GraphQL APIs using Golang and Node.js. Build new features and enhance existing microservices under the guidance of senior engineers. Contribute to content ingestion pipelines and backend systems. Work with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and AWS services. Implement and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS Lambda and related AWS services. Software Quality & Operations Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Develop unit and integration tests. Participate in code reviews. Debug production issues and improve monitoring and CI/CD. AI-Assisted Development Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies. Validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability. Use AI for implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews. Explore new AI-enabled engineering workflows. Collaboration & Growth Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and DevOps teams. Participate in agile ceremonies and technical discussions.
