Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Copper Layout (Avery Creek) - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $21 per hour. The core hours are 4pm - 2:30am. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: In this function you will: • Works from Copper drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment. • Determines necessary parts and material, and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock. • Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals. • Lies out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly. • May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement. • Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards, and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required. • Executes engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required. • Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach. • Maintains records as required. • Follow NCMR process ( Scrap Copper ) • Effectively communicate with Copper, Mechanical and Electrical technicians. • Complete copper and CT sign –off forms. • Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations. • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner. • Other assignments as required. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred qualifications: • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment • Previous experience in wiring or assembly Position Criteria: • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead • Able to read blue prints and wiring diagrams • Proven history of safe work habits • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc. • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
