This position is responsible for inspecting plastic products for defects, packaging finished goods, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting continuous production operations within a clean and safe manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Inspection & Quality · Inspect plastic parts for defects such as contamination, deformities, or inconsistencies. · Ensure that only high‑quality products are packaged and shipped. · Monitor quality throughout production runs and communicate issues promptly. · Accurately complete production forms, labels, part counts, and other required documentation. Packaging & Production Support · Package finished products according to customer and company specifications. · Safely operate basic tools and equipment to prepare boxes and materials for palletizing. · Maintain continuous production flow by monitoring machine output and packaging parts efficiently. · Assist Machine Operators and production staff to maintain throughput and reduce downtime. Safety, Compliance & Cleanliness · Follow all Amcor safety procedures, including PPE, machine guarding, and hazard reporting. · Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and food safety standards. · Keep the work area clean by removing scrap, wiping down equipment, and organizing materials. · Maintain safe work habits and immediately report unsafe conditions or near‑misses. Teamwork & Additional Duties · Communicate clearly with team members about quality concerns, machine behavior, or material shortages. · Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervision or leadership. · Support production goals by maintaining efficiency and cooperating with team members across shifts. Qualifications · High school diploma or GED preferred. · Previous manufacturing, inspection, or packaging experience is helpful but not required. · Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects quickly. · Ability to follow written procedures, safety rules, and documentation standards. · Basic math and counting skills for production paperwork.
