Senior Consultant - Technology Risk - Operational Resilience The opportunity As our Senior Consultant, you’ll use your passion for Technology Risk within Financial Services, to join our diverse team in helping clients identify, assess and manage their technology and operational risks. You will focus on providing Technology Risk management services to our financial services clients, including supporting audit and control assurance engagements and delivering risk and operational resilience advisory services. You will work with our banking, insurance, and wealth management clients to develop and deliver exceptional Technology Risk Services. This role will support clients in responding to increasing regulatory expectations on operational resilience, ensuring critical operations can continue and recover effectively through disruption scenarios. All while maintaining work-life balance through hybrid working. This role is based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options. Your key responsibilities
Support financial audit teams by identifying financial reporting related IT risks, evaluating ITGC design and operating effectiveness and testing application controls Contribute to control assurance engagements, including GS007, ASAE3150, SOC1, SOC2 etc. Provide a broad range of Technology Risk services, including supporting regulatory compliance services, e.g. CPS 234 and CPS 230, and assisting clients identify and manage their risks impacting information security and critical operations, and meet tolerance levels during disruptions Provide risk-based recommendations and insights to help clients strengthen their risk posture, embed information security and operational resilience into system design and operations
Skills and attributes for success
Financial services industry-based knowledge and experience. Knowledge of, and experience in, IT audit supporting external audits, control assurance, internal audit, IT risk management strategies and techniques. Understanding of and experience in operational resilience within financial services, including critical operations, tolerance for disruption, and risks arising from third-party dependencies. Familiarity with prudential standards (e.g. CPS 230, CPS 234) and their application to technology risk, operational resilience and risk management practices. A result orientated and commercially client focused mindset. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues.

A passion for emerging technologies and advising clients on how to identify, assess and manage risks, including those impacting the resilience of critical systems and services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Comfort to take on unfamiliar tasks and regularly learn new skills. Maintain awareness of current industry IT trends and regulations.
