The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Credit Risk COE Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Support lead manager on credit analysis and risk rating of the portfolio, based on statistical models, and lead segmentation variables Monitors and proactively manages risk/exposures and compliance with policies for credit risk portfolio. Support global team with credit data analysis to formulate practical portfolio problem solving models Participate on cross functional teams to identify opportunities and support initiatives for process improvements, centralization, and standardization Monitor performance of AR credit quality and analyze AR performance, aging, trends, risk exposure and advise business leadership teams in actions to be taken. Supporting management reporting for KPIs Educate and advise business divisions on portfolio, customer credit risk and payment terms Work in collaboration with the CIR organization to implement frameworks and global governance policies. Review and approve requests related to credit limits or payment terms. Provide financial counsel and analysis on DSO initiatives to the business group leaders and team, influencing business thinking. Leading small projects related to credit risk management or working capital optimization. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in business, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, and/or statistics from an accredited institution Two (2) years of data analytics, data management and/or risk analysis experience in a private, public, government or military environment Proficient in Japanese speaking/Writing Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience in problem-solving, financial modeling, data analytics and data management Knowledge of financial statement analysis, bankruptcy laws, basic accounting techniques, and financial principles used in analyzing and interpreting the working capital impact of decisions regarding credit risk Skills include analytical reasoning, persuasive and assertive, adaptable, optimistic, innovative, collaborative, excellent written and verbal communication Experience in Credit and Collections is a plus Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized Work location: This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least 4 days per week in the 3M locations , and This position is expected to work from one of
