Job Description
Department Overview We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Advisory & Contract Execution (ACE) Team in Singapore. ACE is a client-facing function within TD Securities and The Toronto-Dominion Group, providing advisory support across Global Markets businesses and clients throughout the deal origination process. The ACE team is responsible for advising on, negotiating, and executing legal and regulatory trading documentation required for capital markets transactions globally. By balancing commercial objectives with legal, regulatory, and risk management requirements, ACE helps accelerate revenue generation, support strategic business growth, and deliver an exceptional client experience. Job Description
The successful candidate will independently manage a portfolio of clients and capital markets legal agreements throughout the deal origination lifecycle, supporting a range of Global Markets products. The role offers broad exposure to complex transactions, client engagement, and legal documentation across multiple products in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the negotiation and execution of a diverse portfolio of capital markets agreements across multiple jurisdictions and product lines, while ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, risk, and governance requirements. Advise clients on documentation requirements relating to capital markets transactions and onboarding activities. Participate in client meetings and discussions, providing guidance on trading documentation and related regulatory considerations. Partner with trading, sales, and origination teams to support new and existing transactions, providing advisory services on documentation requirements and associated implications. Lead discussions with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to resolve complex issues arising during negotiations. Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of trading documentation, including: ISDA Master Agreements and Credit Support Documentation GMRA, securities lending, and repo agreements Prime Brokerage Agreements Master Confirmation Agreements Energy and Metals Agreements Other bespoke capital markets documentation Coordinate closely with internal partners including Legal, Credit, Tax, Operations, Funding & Valuation, Collateral Management, and front-office business teams throughout the documentation process. Manage and escalate documentation-related issues to facilitate timely resolution and stakeholder alignment. Support business development and origination efforts through participation in client meetings and industry engagement opportunities. Provide regular updates and reporting to business stakeholders, including desk heads and senior management. Contribute to automation, process improvement, and strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls, and regulatory compliance. Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact on trading documentation matters for internal stakeholders. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB/JD) or equivalent legal qualification required. 6-8+ years of experience in legal documentation, capital markets, derivatives documentation, or a related field. Strong knowledge of capital markets products, including derivatives, fixed income, and/or equities products. Proven experience negotiating and advising on ISDA documentation; familiarity with GMRA documentation is highly desirable. Prior experience in a client-facing environment, with
