We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Technical Representative. Key responsibilities include:

Serve as the primary point of contact between Nucor Steel Berkeley and assigned customers on all quality and technical matters. Develop a thorough understanding of customers' products, applications, and key product requirements to ensure material consistently meets their needs. Support customers by addressing technical issues, providing product application guidance, and assisting with the development of new products based on current and future requirements. Effectively communicate customer concerns and use data-driven analysis and statistical tools to lead quality and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the mill. Understand customer orders and mill requirements and work closely with Inside Sales to provide metallurgical expertise, training, and technical support. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in Metallurgy or other related technical field of study or equivalent work experience. Five years minimum experience in the steel industry Willingness to travel extensively Preferred Qualifications:

Three years prior experience effectively developing new applications or grades and servicing customer’s material needs or issues. Knowledge of flat rolled industry specifications such as: ASTM, JIS, automotive, etc. Experience with circle gridding and formability analysis.
