Job Description
An opportunity for a Strategic Procurement Manager - Next Generation Composites has arisen within Airbus Operations , Getafe (Madrid) . The selected candidate will join the PMBC (Composites Strategic Procurement) Team, which is in charge of leading the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) for composite materials across the entire Airbus Group through the Procurement Synergy Group (PSG) . This team works in a highly transnational, cross-functional, and cross-divisional environment, collaborating closely with R&T, Engineering, Manufacturing, SC&Q, and major suppliers to define, develop, and secure the next generation of composite technologies that will directly impact future aircraft platforms and business decisions .
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main tasks of the jobholder will be : Lead the creation and execution of the Composites Procurement Strategy (including Key Principles, Implementation Strategy, and Planning) in alignment with the Next Gen Programme Strategy . Coordinate the overall Procurement involvement for Next Generation Composite Materials, leading the Call for Tender activities and managing functional, cross-divisional teams . Establish and maintain the contractual framework for new composite developments (NDAs, Cooperation, and Research Agreements) with external suppliers . Monitor and secure suppliers’ involvement, performance, and adherence to Programme milestones, planning, and material deliveries for trials . Ensure Procurement's contribution to material trade-offs (evaluating cost, industrial capability, and sovereignty) and drive Risk & Opportunity Management . Consolidate inputs and deliver presentations to higher management at key decision-making forums and Programme gates .

Education
Degree in Engineering, Science (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, etc.), or Business Administration .
Experience
Proven experience in Procurement, managing international suppliers, key contracts, and competitive bidding processes . Soft Skills: Functional leadership, excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills, with a high ability to structure complex data and work in a transnational networking mode . Languages: Advanced / Fluent level in English (C1/C2) . Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement frameworks, risk management, and strategic sourcing processes .
