We are seeking an experienced professional in the field of mechanical and aero engineering management, with a focus on Air Data Sensors to support the development, qualification, and field support of aerospace sensors. Duties include developing and implementing mechanical and aero design best practices, processes, and procedures, and ensuring the engineering team is properly trained to implement these practices across all of our programs. A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with engineers, operations, quality, and supply chain to achieve optimal design solutions which meet requirements while minimizing overall life cycle costs is required. The candidate should be experienced in all phases of the design and manufacturing process, including development and implementation of solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment of resource needs within the team with continual monitoring of program activities and their associated loading requirements in the near and long term with direct interface to the various program managers, as well as their direct reports within the mechanical engineering team. The manager will be looked upon to assess and be cognizant of the professional growth path of their team members and work with direct reports on career development.
What You Will Do
Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams with responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance. Conduct performance reviews and support recruitment and retention efforts. Guide mechanical and aero design efforts from concept and trade studies through detailed design, production transition, and supplier support. Develop and integrate mechanical hardware Apply materials selection, manufacturing processes, GD&T, and tolerance analysis to ensure quality and reliability. Support project execution, including proposal development (BOEs), EVMS/EAC tracking, and Risk & Opportunity management. Conduct root cause and corrective action analysis and present findings to leadership and stakeholders. Support the factory and suppliers with product integration domestically and internationally. Management reporting, development of clear concise technical and programmatic presentations enabling informed/strategic decisions. Leading cross-functional design/development efforts within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management.

You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
