About this role
About Zipline
Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.
Our customers include the world’s largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we’ve built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.
Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.
We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.
About You and The Role
You are a skilled builder who enjoys turning ideas into reliable, field-ready hardware. You take pride in producing high-quality work, solving mechanical problems, and working with your hands to build systems that perform reliably in the real world.
As a Construction Worker / Vehicle Fabricator, you'll fabricate, assemble, and install custom structural components and fixtures on commercial vehicles that support Zipline's operations. You'll work closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams to transform engineering designs into durable, production-ready vehicle systems. Your work will directly impact the safety, reliability, and scalability of our operations.
What You'll Do
• Build and install custom fixtures, brackets, racks, enclosures, mounts, and structural components on commercial vehicles.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications to ensure every build meets design intent.
• Measure, cut, drill, grind, fit, and assemble steel, aluminum, composites, and other fabrication materials with precision.
• Perform vehicle modifications while maintaining structural integrity, quality, and craftsmanship.
• Troubleshoot fabrication and fitment challenges, working cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to identify practical solutions.
• Inspect completed work against quality standards and engineering requirements before release.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation throughout the fabrication process.
• Help improve manufacturing processes by identifying opportunities to increase quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
What You'll Bring
• 2+ years of experience in vehicle fabrication, construction, manufacturing, metal fabrication, commercial vehicle upfitting, or a related hands-on
