Meet the Team The Webex Global Events team is part of Cisco’s WTG Field & Events organization, focused on creating high-impact experiences that showcase Webex and Cisco Collaboration leadership. The team leads strategy and execution for flagship events like WebexOne, drives Webex presence at major industry conferences such as Enterprise Connect and InfoComm, and supports Cisco first-party events including Cisco Live. Working across marketing, sales, and product teams, the organization delivers engaging customer experiences that strengthen brand visibility, connect with key audiences, and help accelerate business growth.
Your Impact
The Event Manager is responsible for planning, operations, and execution of Cisco's global first-party events, including flagship customer conferences and regional event programs. This role serves as the operational lead and project manager for complex, multi-day events, driving cross-functional collaboration and ensuring outstanding attendee experiences while delivering against business objectives. Serve as the Event Operations & Program Management lead, owning processes from planning through post-event reporting for WebexOne. Lead designated workstreams for WebexOne, including logistics, staffing, security, vendor management, space planning, and furniture and décor Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful event execution. Lead cross-functional workstreams and facilitate collaboration among marketing, product, sales, executive communications, technical teams, agencies, and external vendors. Coordinate and facilitate weekly planning meetings and status updates with stakeholders and vendor partners. Oversee event logistics, venue operations, staffing, housing support, and attendee experience initiatives. Plan and execute ancillary events, executive meetings, receptions, and customer engagement opportunities. Lead event staffing plans and preparation and scheduling of brand ambassadors and event support staff. Lead security planning and coordination for large-scale, multi-day events. Manage relationships with event agencies and third-party vendors, including contracts and deliverables. Create executive presentations, planning materials, post-event reports, and recommendations for future improvements. Partner with Event Directors and Event Leads to drive cross-functional alignment and ensure successful event delivery. Support planning and execution of additional events with expo booth and speaking sponsorships, as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, Project Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in event management, operations, or project management supporting large-scale, in-person and hybrid first-party events, including conferences, tradeshows, and executive customer experiences. Experience running cross-functional event programs with multiple internal stakeholders and external vendors. Experience planning and executing conferences, tradeshows, and customer engagement events. Experience managing event staff supporting large-scale, multi-day events.
