Job Description

As a Desk Property Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for Homeowners claims. This role includes determining coverage and damages, and adjusting and negotiating claims within assigned authority levels. You will manage the full lifecycle of the claim, including supplements. Throughout the process, you will provide timely, clear communication to customers, keeping them informed as their claim progresses. We are seeking an experienced Property Adjuster with proficiency in Xactimate and a strong foundation in claims handling, including supplements and full claim ownership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, excellent customer service, and the ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment. Experience handling claims in both field and desk settings is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Applies extensive experience in the Adjuster II level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Litigation, Large Loss, Water Mitigation, Desk Review) For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome Recognizes and identifies key components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems Identifies the most complex customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle Demonstrates advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department Handles investigation regarding all aspects of the most complex Homeowners first party claims (coverage, damages and subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties. #LI-AS2   Skills Adaptability, Analytical Thinking, Conflict Resolution, Documentation, Homeowners Claims, Organizing, Problem Solving, Xactimate   Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is: Inside Property Cons I: $53,500.00 - 77,800.00/salary Inside Property Cons II: $56,000.00 - 82,500.00/salary Inside Property Sr. Cons I: $68,500.00 - 104,100.00/salary Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable. As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
