Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer/ Principal Electrical Engineer in support of the Sentinel program. This position is located in Manhattan Beach, CA. What You’ll Get To Do Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Attending internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings Support formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates. Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. Ensure appropriate coordination between electrical design/analysis and other integration teams. Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products. Conduct electrical analysis and/or support LRU electrical designs Develop Product Definition Packages (PDPs)/Analysis Data Packages (ADPs) and take them through the full review and release process. Review engineering deliverables such as one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, part data sheets, interconnect connect diagrams, specifications, electrical analysis and trade studies May perform research, trade studies, evaluation, and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical systems, cables, connectors, power systems, test equipment, and more. Possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively to understand system level interdependencies that impact electrical requirements and design constraints. Demonstrate leadership principles – Integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc.

Basic Qualifications

Engineer Electrical: Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree. Principal Engineer Electrical: Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD. Both Levels: Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 yrs), with an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
