Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Energetics MFG Engineer Level 2 to join our Production Quality team in Magna, UT. The Energetics MFG Engineer in Production Quality will work in an industrial environment and support solving complex engineering problems. Will effectively interact with design engineering team and provide support across Factory Value Streams, Materials and Process experts, Process engineering, and Tool Design. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will: Understand the design intent, failure modes, requirements, and specifications of the product as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls, statistics, SPC, and quality inspections. Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines and internal policies/procedures to assure compliance and will serve as liaison between Bacchus Mission Assurance and various other organizations including some government agencies. Work directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements, meet specifications, and improve processing Must be able to work in manufacturing environment, including accessing stairs and work platforms. Other duties as assigned This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period as determined by the company. Basic Qualifications for Level 2: STEM Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience – OR – STEM Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance Emphasis in coursework or prior experience in the following areas: Quality Assurance/ Quality Engineering; Chemical Processes; Engineering Design; Customer Service Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: Chemical processes Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Engineering, SPC AS9100/IS9001 Demonstrated Customer Coordination Tooling/special equipment Systems Engineering and Statistics Computer Aided Design – ie NX, Solidworks, ProE, ComSol, other Application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/AMSE Y14.5) Demonstrated leadership Curious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector?
