Answer yes to any of these and you’ll fit right in here at Amazon Robotics. We are a smart team of doers that work passionately to apply advances in robotics and software to solve real-world challenges that will transform our customers’ experiences in ways we can’t even imagine yet. Amazon Robotics has locations in the greater Boston and Seattle area, the epicenter of robotics innovation. Our diverse teams come from all over the world to design, test and build our dynamic fleet of robots, mechatronic systems and pack automation solutions. Having our offices, labs, test floors and factories all co-located means that we can design the hardware, write the code, test, build and watch it all come to life. This allows us to innovate quickly and on limitless ideas. Current advancements are underway in autonomous movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, predictive analytics, and much more. The Amazon Robotics Supply Chain provides strategic sourcing for a portfolio of robotic technologies and is responsible for delivering new products by enabling the right suppliers and technologies, and getting the right materials at the right cost to the right place at the right time to support our network of global fulfillment and transportation solutions. It is a fast-paced operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon and is driven by data and metrics. We are seeking a Sr. Manager, New Product Tech who manages a team of new product supply chain product managers, formulates and executes comprehensive supply chain strategies enabling development and deployment of new robotics products and systems across Amazon Robotics organizations, serving as the strategic supply chain interface for all internal teams. This role drives critical supply chain decisions including initial supplier strategy for product development and manufacturing, technology and vendor selection, product-specific supplier strategies, and product cost roadmaps. This candidate leads product-centric supplier sourcing and selection activities, partnering with vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective materials and services that enable fast innovative NPI development with a clear path to General Availability (GA) production. The successful candidate influences product development direction, identifies and drives suppliers to develop essential technology, elucidates cost and performance tradeoffs at product and architecture levels to meet near-term and long-term cost targets, and develops supply chain strategies enabling both rapid development and clear paths to scale. The Sr. Manager operates with significant autonomy, managing high degrees of product and technology ambiguity with evolving requirements and priorities, making one-way-door decisions on technology, suppliers, and tooling investments. This role requires deep understanding of advanced technology development and suppliers, balancing new technology risks with vendor strategies, scaling plans, and cost reduction strategies. The Sr, Manager with his team develops multi-phase, multi-generational supply chain and cost strategies, leads products with largest projected spend exceeding $100M annually in GA, manages multiple products and development efforts in parallel, mentors L6s and L5s across robotics supply chain, and establishes standardized tools and processes including cost roadmaps, tradeoff assessments, and supply chain risk models for broader team use. The position requires executive presence to share programmatic updates at higher leadership levels, collaborating and influencing stakeholders across product design, hardware development, Finance, Legal, and Global Operations to ensure supply chain strategies meet technical capabilities, cost, and business
