OTC Derivatives Contract Negotiator (French Language) London The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products Sales & Trading. The Business Control Unit (“BCU”) is a first line team within the Fixed Income Division which covers a number of risk areas, including Non-Market Risk (Operational Risk), Counterparty Risk, Conduct Risk and Contract Negotiations.The BCU Institutional Securities Documentation Team covers the contract negotiation function for trading agreements for Fixed Income (including Commodities) and is currently looking for a derivatives and financing documentation negotiator with a focus on institutional clients of the Fixed Income, Commodities and Finance Divisions. The role involves collaborating with various areas of the Firm, interacting with external clients, and negotiating different types of derivatives documentation. What will you be doing? • Identifying necessary documentation for the clients to trade securities or OTC derivatives and perform related due diligence scans. • Drafting and negotiating legal documentation (including master agreements, amendments, and ancillary documents required for OTC derivatives, repurchase or stock loan transactions). • Handling client negotiations and any related projects to ensure timely execution and completion. • Liaising with internal stakeholders in Credit, Risk Management, Legal and Sales to negotiate contractual terms and respond to internal and external questions. • Understanding and adhering to established procedures. • Communicating with clients and external counsel. • Keeping abreast of market developments and sharing updates with internal stakeholders • Updating internal workflow tools. What we’re looking for: • Fluency in French language at business level is essential for this role. • Experience in having negotiated French language master agreements would be useful, but not essential. • Experience in having negotiated agreements required for OTC derivatives, repurchase or stock loan transactions would be useful but not essential. • Prior experience in a law firm or the financial industry negotiating trading agreements. • Education Level: Degree in law / business administration degree or equivalent • Excellent written and oral communication
