About this role
Supply Chain Managers are responsible for overseeing and managing company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. In addition, they play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy and in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage, control, and direct the activities and staff involved in the Procurement, Planning, and Supply Chain Management. Manage and report out on strategic KPIs – Inventory turns, Vendor Report Card (OTD, Quality, Cost reduction), OPEX Material savings, etc. Develop and implement programs to maximize schedule flexibility, while minimizing inventory exposure and maintaining performance to cost targets. Support assigned accounts on critical expedites requests. Management of the daily logistics activities in the factory: master planning, the procurement storage and distribution of material, the storage and shipment of Finished product. Review purchase order claims and contracts in conformance to company policy in a timely fashion. Ensure periodic scheduled Cycle Counts are undertaken. Management of import and export declarations. Inter-Company order management. Lead effort in developing new suppliers in Low Cost Region Monitor site inventory budget and take actions to keep it under control. Support new ERP (Navision) implementation at Penang factory. Prepare weekly/monthly report for slow moving and obsolete stock (E&O – Excess and Obsolete), take action to handle obsolete materials promptly. Build and train materials team to support production transfer process. Ensure Lean Concepts are always used in day-to-day execution. Responsible for recruiting, training, and developing, conducting performance evaluations, recognizing and disciplining assigned employees. Other assigned tasks.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above, major in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related business education Minimum of 8 years material management experiences with a multi-national company, Minimum of 3 years manager experiences Good knowledge of manufacturing practices and commodity knowledge of Electrics, Electronics and Mechanical parts Experiences in ERP system, warehouse management system Good analytical and problem-solving skills set. High level of commitment, responsibility, and good work attitude. Well skilled in office software, excel, word, PPT, etc. Good awareness of commercial practice and contract law Excellent in English.
