About the Role

As an Electrical Engineering Engineer , you will be responsible for the coordination, support, and technical execution of projects and customer orders related to CAT gas engine systems. In this role, you will manage electrical engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the initial concept and basic engineering phase through detailed engineering, installation, commissioning, and final acceptance. You will plan, design, and engineer electrical systems for power generation applications, ensuring that all technical solutions meet project requirements, customer expectations, and applicable industry standards.

Located in Houston, Texas This role offers relocation This role does not offer sponsorship This role requires 5 days onsite Travel: up to 20% What You Will Do: Developing comprehensive electrical and control system concepts, covering medium- and low-voltage systems, power distribution networks, protection systems, and control technologies A key part of the role involves preparing and reviewing electrical documentation, including circuit diagrams, technical specifications, load calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination studies, and other engineering documents required for project execution. Ensure that all engineering deliverables are technically accurate, compliant with relevant regulations, and aligned with project schedules Work closely with internal engineering disciplines, including mechanical engineering, process engineering, and automation teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall plant design including battery systems Effective coordination between departments and suppliers will be essential to achieving technical and commercial project objectives The position also requires regular communication and technical alignment with customers, suppliers, consultants, and regulatory authorities Provide technical expertise during project meetings, clarify customer requirements, evaluate supplier proposals, and support the resolution of technical issues throughout project execution Provide technical support during equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and final acceptance activities. This includes troubleshooting electrical and control systems, verifying compliance with functional requirements, and ensuring the reliable operation of marine engine and power generation equipment.
