Are you a seasoned Construction Manager looking for your next exciting opportunity? Leidos is seeking a highly accomplished Program Construction Manager with the proven ability to successfully plan and execute multi-disciplinary construction projects and deliver consistent high-quality results TO JOIN the Antarctic Support Contract team in support of US Antarctic Program (USAP) locations. The ASC Program Construction Manager (PCM) will oversee all the construction managers and construction activities for the program at all ASC stations. In addition, they will coordinate site support with other ASC functional areas, Operations and subcontractors as needed in the project planning stages. The PCM will oversee construction superintendents, trade supervisors, and tradespersons and will coordinate resources tied to construction activities and change control activities if needed. The position also includes overseeing execution of subcontracted construction activities to ensure delivery of those scopes of work in compliance with specifications, schedules, quality and other project requirements. The ASC Construction Program Manager has overall responsibility for the successful execution of construction activities for all Capital, and minor recap projects. To learn more about the Leidos Antarctic Support Contract Click here ** Deployment to Antarctica may be necessary at the discretion of management (approximately 1- 5 months per year). ** Successful completion of the physical and dental examinations required by the NSF for deploying to Antarctica is a nonnegotiable requirement. ** Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required. ** Must obtain a Public Trust security clearance prior to starting. This process could take up to 4 months. The Challenge Supervise ASC construction staff of Construction Managers and ensure they are trained and following process and procedures. Interface directly with project managers (PMs) to coordinate field schedules, resolve issues, lead/support negotiations for change orders, and ensure phasing is efficient Collaborate in the development and review of upcoming construction efforts. Lead constructability aspects through project life cycle. Perform planning and estimating as required to support construction estimates, schedules, and procurements. This may include schedule development support, design reviews, constructability reviews, development of material take-offs and “bills of materials” based on engineering design drawings and project specifications. Responsible for ensuring ASC construction has policies and procedures that are based on industry practices and facilitate a safe work environment and quality product. Ensure subcontractors perform according to design, safety and quality aspects called out in the construction execution plans and contracts. Serve as a leader in problem solving, field execution facilitation, communications, and continuous safety and quality process improvement. Partner with Mission Assurance to strengthen the safety and quality culture and continuously improve safety performance within ASC construction activities. Maintain alignment with Area Managers, Functional organizations and subcontractors on site work plans and required resources.
