Position Summary
The Box Office Supervisor oversees the event day operations of the Box Office, supervises box office ticket sellers, reinforces a guest-friendly attitude, handles guest inquiries and/or complaints, assists in preparing financial reports, and is responsible for opening and closing the box office at the PeoplesBank Arena and Pratt & Whitney Stadium. This role pays an hourly rate of $17.50-$18.50 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until October 30, 2026

The PeoplesBank Arena is Connecticut's premier destination for sports & entertainment. The 15,000+ seat downtown arena is home to the eleven-time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the six-time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team. Led by Hall of Fame basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, the Men's & Women's basketball programs have established themselves as national powerhouses. The PeoplesBank Arena is also home to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers. The PeoplesBank Arena entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows throughout the season. The venue has played host to an extraordinary roster of world-renowned artists, including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Drake, and many others. The PeoplesBank Arena will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the State of Connecticut for years to come.
Responsibilities
Supervises and assists ticket sellers during event days/nights, which includes but is not limited to aiding with the sale process and troubleshooting mobile ticket issues and other ticketing needs. Delegates job duties, prepares cash drawers, and calculates the daily ticket sales at the end of the shift. Maintain and audit cash vault balance for accuracy, calculate daily revenue to coincide with receipts, and prepare and verify deposits accordingly. Share responsibilities with other supervisors to include preparing ticket sellers' schedules, updating window displays, supervising will call and preparing guest services relocations, handling promoter inquiries, and running reports for events. Compiles end-of-day reports to be used by the finance department. Aids guests either in person or via telephone with any questions and/or problems that have been relayed by the ticket sellers.
