Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented Mechanical Engineer IV (HVAC) for our Atlanta, Georgia Buildings and Places Group. This role will consist of providing mechanical design on federal and commercial projects across the country and/or internationally, with a strong focus on timely delivery and Client satisfaction. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong desire to further their design capabilities and make significant contributions to substantial projects within a larger design initiative. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Design, including drafting, of mechanical systems for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems including engineering related calculations and development of drawings. Develop system narratives. Review / Edit Specifications. QA/QC of Mechanical designs. Working under supervision of a department leader. Able to manage teams and projects with minimal supervision. Assist in proposal development. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and six (6) plus years of related experience, which includes an understanding of Mechanical/HVAC systems for commercial buildings, experience and skills in mechanical systems building design, project management, and team leadership or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Experience working with federal clients. Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required. At least 4 years of experience with Energy Modeling (e.g. Trane Trace, IES, EnergyPlus, etc.). At least 4 years of experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
Preferred Qualifications
Registered professional engineer (PE). 8+ years of related HVAC design experience. Full understanding and ability to complete, accurate and coordinated project design assignments with ability to review team
