About this role
As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in developing, designing, and implementing effective instructional materials and programs. Leveraging your expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning science, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging and impactful learning experiences that meet AutoNation’s objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Create engaging learning content to support business success Determine appropriate platform / delivery mode for learning needs Apply continuous improvement mindset to all learning content / processes Partner with Subject-Matter Experts to create training that meets business needs Minimum Qualifications: Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Lead instructional design projects from concept through implementation, coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations. Apply adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies to create effective learning solutions. Design visually engaging, multi-modal learning experiences that drive measurable performance and business results. Analyze challenges, identify solutions, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision. Collaborate effectively across all organizational levels, leveraging strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Incorporate adult learning principles and instructional design best practices into all learning initiatives. Develop comprehensive learning assets, including facilitator and participant guides, assessments, certifications, job aids, pre- and post-work, and performance support materials. Create and deliver high-quality instructional content across multiple learning modalities. Utilize industry-standard learning technologies and authoring tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Vyond, Articulate 360, Synthesia, and Learning Management Systems. Adapt to evolving business needs and contribute to additional learning and development initiatives as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
