We are currently seeking a Global Data Ontology Analyst in Slovenia in an agile/hybrid capacity. Where You'll Make a Difference IFF’s Digital team is seeking a Global Data Ontology Analyst to help define and maintain the organization’s business ontology, creating consistent business context for data concepts, relationships, and business rules across systems, processes, reporting platforms, and AI solutions. Develop and maintain enterprise data ontologies, semantic models, business vocabularies, and conceptual data models. Define business entities, attributes, relationships, structures, and business rules that enable enterprise-wide data consistency. Partner with business teams to document and standardize business concepts such as Customer, Product, Supplier, Formula, Material, Plant, and Sales Organization. Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to align ontologies with business glossaries, master data standards, and governance policies. Maintain enterprise metadata frameworks, taxonomies, business glossaries, and data dictionaries. Review business processes and data flows to identify opportunities for ontology development and semantic standardization. Coordinate governance processes for ontology lifecycle management, including change management, versioning, stewardship, and approval workflows. Work with data architects and solution teams to align semantic models with enterprise data architecture initiatives and governance platforms. Promote adoption of semantic standards through documentation, communication, training, and stakeholder engagement while connecting AI, reporting, and business insight initiatives to consistent business definitions. What Makes You the Right Fit Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Governance, Computer Science, Business Reporting, Information Systems, Knowledge Management, or a related field. 2-5 years of xxperience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Data Architecture, Business Review, or related disciplines. Knowledge of Data Governance practices, Metadata Management, Business Glossaries, Master Data Management, and Data Quality practices. Experience developing conceptual or semantic data models. Familiarity with ontology concepts, taxonomies, semantic models, knowledge graphs, or enterprise information architecture. Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK practices and metadata management practices. Knowledge of enterprise platforms and how business, master, and transactional data relate to organizational processes. Ability to communicate technical concepts in a business-friendly and accessible manner. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. How Would You Stand Out? Experience with governance and metadata platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, DataGalaxy, or similar solutions. Familiarity with semantic technologies, RDF, OWL, SKOS, knowledge graphs, or related concepts. Exposure to AI, machine learning, semantic search, data lineage, metadata repositories, or modern reporting platforms. Why Join Us?
