Engineering Technician

Ametek Aerospace & Defense is looking for a strong Development Engineering Technician to work in our Wilmington, MA facility.  Candidate must be a self-starter and able to work in an aggressive, fast-paced, and flexible environment.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  This position will support the Sensors & Fluid Management Systems Business Unit in Wilmington, MA. Responsibilities include:

Perform tests on aerospace sensor products. Prepare data for all product development activities and analyze performance. Maintain neat and clean laboratory area and ensure functionality of all equipment. Construct prototype products, cabling, and test equipment. Design tooling and fixturing as required. Install and analyze all test equipment for qualification. Perform and implement various tests on new products. Provide technical support to all design engineers Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs.  The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs

Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electronics technology preferred.

Working knowledge of software including Microsoft Excel, NI LabVIEW, Keysight Benchlink Data Logger, NI Signal Express SolidWorks and Altium experience Prototype construction, soldering, and machining skills J-STD-001 Class 3 Soldering
