Job Description

Start Date: 1st of September 2026 Location: Amstelveen (hybrid working model)   What you’ll do : During your internship you will be part of the HPE Defense Industry team for North & Western Europe. You will work closely with the Head of the Defense Industry vertical, based out of The Netherlands. The Defense Industry, driven by geopolitical factors, is fast changing towards the ‘Digital Army concept’: AI, Drones, Robotics, secure private Cloud, real time ‘situational’ analytics& information, multi-dimensional networks and communications. The above is leading to an increase on Defense spending for 2026 to 2030 New country regulations (sovereignty) open discussions on what -confidential- data can be shared or not. Where is data stored and who has access to these data. HPE are looking for an intern who can make a business analysis for 2026 to 2030 based on IT spend of Defense (in other words: which % of Defense is IT related and addressable for HPE) Create a HPE value proposition for Defense based on HPE product portfolio HPE Competitive analysis Business case of estimated of Defense Investments What you’ll need: You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program. A degree background that can demonstrate Technology, Data, Compute & analytical skills is preferable. Expected Graduation 2027 We are not looking for an IT specialist. Candidate should have a genuine interest in the application possibilities of Cloud Computing, AI, (5G) private networks A broad interest to approach a business case holistically: from a technology angle, economic, legal, sales & marketing.
