This role is responsible for leading complex, high impact business systems analysis initiatives that span multiple functions and enterprise systems. The Principal Analyst operates with a high degree of autonomy, serves as a trusted subject matter expert, and partners closely with senior leaders to drive accurate, scalable, and business aligned solutions. This position requires strong analytical judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to influence outcomes without formal authority. This is an individual contributor role and does not include direct people management responsibilities. Success in this role is measured by analytical rigor, influence, partnership effectiveness, and the ability to independently deliver outcomes in complex, high-visibility scenarios that impact enterprise systems and operational processes. Essential Functions: Business & Systems Analysis Lead end-to-end analysis for complex business and system initiatives, including problem definition, requirements documentation, validation, and traceability. Assess system impacts, identify gaps, and develop recommendations that improve accuracy, scalability, and operational effectiveness. Translate complex system behavior, data flows, and dependencies into clear insights for business stakeholders and leadership. Financial & Operational Systems Governance Oversee and support systems and processes that directly impact financial operations and employee compensation outcomes, ensuring a high degree of accuracy, analytical rigor, and operational governance. Investigate data discrepancies, operational anomalies, and system issues to determine root cause and drive corrective actions. Validate that system outputs align with defined business rules, financial controls, and operational requirements, and escalate discrepancies or risks that could impact financial or operational outcomes. Cross-Functional Partnership Serve as a primary analytical partner to cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, Product, Reporting, and Operations. Build strong working relationships across lines of business to align priorities, resolve ambiguity, and drive execution of complex initiatives. Present analysis, options, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders with clarity and confidence. Technical & Analytical Expertise Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems and business domains, with a strong understanding of system logic and upstream and downstream dependencies. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes that impact financial or operational outcomes. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and improve system reliability through analysis-driven solutions. Leadership Without Authority Provide informal mentorship and guidance to other analysts by setting standards for analytical rigor, documentation quality, and professional judgment. Proactively challenge assumptions, existing processes, and proposed solutions when misaligned with business objectives or risk tolerance. Take full ownership of assigned initiatives, including managing risks, dependencies, and follow-through to completion. Education and Work Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related work
