Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Manager Facilities Engineering 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Clearfield, Utah.

Position

Description: As part of the factory IPT, you will provide reviews as to the status of maintenance and reliability issues in the factory and be accountable for the scope, schedule, and budget of each area of activity.  Your focus will include understanding Maximo (asset management system) to assure proper work control on preventative maintenance, emergency repair, and equipment modifications.  Your focus will also include a sound understanding and participative control of the demand, warehousing, and use of spare parts inventory.  This position has considerable latitude for independent action and decision making.  You will support our current facility and allow it to grow to the next level of operations and production.  You will prepare presentations and reports detailing the equipment operational availability & equipment effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include oversight and management for the entire facility, including clean rooms, compressors, vacuum systems, humidification, as well as over $100 million dollars’ worth of high-tech composite structures manufacturing equipment.  Other key responsibilities include: Prepares and executes maintenance management budgets Manages facilities equipment and spare parts inventories to assure operational readiness Uses lean thinking/manufacturing fundamentals and TPM principles to organize workflow, streamline internal processes and minimize equipment downtime Communicates directly with operations management on status of equipment within the facility Drives root cause & corrective action, utilizing reliability engineering to take proactive approach Drives small team of reliability engineers and maintenance technicians As a leader, you always act with integrity, and the highest ethical standards characterize everything you do. Basic Qualifications

Do you either have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of facility related experience or; a master’s degree and 3 years of facility related experience, or a PhD and 3 years of facility related experience. In lieu of a degree, a HS Degree/Diploma with 9 years of facility related experience will be considered Two years of prior leadership experience in a managerial, supervisory, or lead capacity In-depth
