Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines. Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands. As a part of the Strategy and Operations Lead, you will serve as a critical strategic partner to executive leadership within the Merchant organization. Your role is designed for a highly strategic, curious, and relationship-driven leader who excels at navigating complex organizational matrices and connecting dots across different product areas. You will be responsible for balancing high-impact strategy and ambiguous special projects with running a clean, culture-oriented business cadence, all while maintaining the trust and authority required to engage directly with executive leadership.Users come first at Google. Nowhere is this more important than on our Advertising and Commerce team: we believe that ads and commercial information can be highly useful to our users if that information is relevant to what our users wish to find or do. Advertisers worldwide use Google Ads to promote their products; publishers use AdSense to serve relevant ads on their website; and business around the world use our products (like Google Shopping, and Google Wallet) to support their online businesses and bring users into their offline stores. We are constantly innovating to deliver the most effective advertising and commerce opportunities of tomorrow.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
