Logistics Technician

As a Microsoft Logistics Technician, you will prioritize and assign ticketed work to technicians on the team, provide guidance on inbound/outbound logistics tasks, and ensure that inventory balances are accurate. Requirements of the Role: This job will require you to, among other things, occasionally climb ladders, frequently climb stairs and/or ramps, engage in prolonged standing, occasionally engage in lifting (up to 50lbs./22.5kg), occasionally engage in pushing or pulling (of up to 50-75lbs. / 22.5-34kg) that may be assisted or unassisted with an assistive device, and regularly and frequently exercise fine hand manipulation. In this environment, you may be asked to go on business travel to support other metros periodically, 0-25% of the time.

Customer Service Maintains a strong focus to understand the impact of their work when completing tickets and assigned Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks. Ensures IAM tasks are completed accurately as requested, as well as meet company and industry standards and policies. Becomes familiar with guidelines set by the Microsoft contractual agreements with suppliers and maintains a strong customer focus. Recognizes potential stakeholder impact of external and internal events and issues, communicates potential impact, and plans for impact accordingly. Data Bearing Device (DBD) Destruction Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies as necessary. Ensures DBD serial number matches with database. Supports decommissioning servers, maintaining compliance and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Fleet Management Performs weekly vehicle inspections. Inbound and Outbound Logistics Performs data entry to document inbound and outbound packages. Executes incoming/outgoing deliveries as instructed by management (e.g. purchase order [PO] receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities). Ensures accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries as well as records. Applies appropriate customs documentations and standards for outbound packages. IT Inventory Management Develops working knowledge of stock control and inventory management practices and procedures.
