Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  As a Field Service Technician, you are the front line of Simco-Ion Technology’s customer interaction through delivering efficient field support. Simco-Ion Technology and ITW seeks to enhance our employee’s inner entrepreneur, with this position operating from home, and traveling to various customer plants in the semiconductor, electronics, and medical manufacturing industries.  In this role you will support the sales and services of company products while exceeding customer expectations through installation and maintenance activities at our customer sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Enhance customer satisfaction providing exceptional customer service Completes installation of components and low voltage wiring on customer ceilings, typically in cleanroom environments. Installation of localized and in tool ionization equipment Completes maintenance of several types of static control systems Schedules visits and installations with customers directly. Follows work instructions of service manager or senior field technician on projects, may occasionally complete smaller jobs on individual trips.  Responsible for timely and accurate documenting and reporting of all service-related activities Generates various customer reports Exercise safe working practices and procedures at all times. May be required to work weekends and/or evening’s depending on the needs of the company.

POSITION

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience working with hand tools, good hand dexterity needed. Ability to read, comprehend and interpret technical information involving mechanics and electronics. Must be able to interpret schematic and electrical diagrams. Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical systems. Focus on Quality Strong customer service/relations skills Detail Orientated Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and manage difficult and high-pressure customer situations. Good time management, prioritization and follow-up skills. Tolerance for working in stressful situations and environments. Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Sense of urgency - having the drive and motivation to take action and prioritize daily tasks; working strategically to ensure we are getting to every customer. Experience with Microsoft office programs including Microsoft Word Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Preferred: Trade school certificate or associate’s degree in maintenance or electronics related area preferred. Experience in Construction industry preferred, 2+ years of experience Previous experience in clean room environments OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. 1.     While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to talk, hear, twist/turn, reach outward, handle/manipulate and grasp objects, stand, walk, and bend. Employees will frequently reach above shoulders and occasionally type, climb, crawl or squat. 2.     The employee must carry up to 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally and push and pull up to 10 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. 3.     Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to bring objects into sharp focus.  4.     Comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding with ceiling heights up to 18 feet. 5.     Excellent hand dexterity Working Conditions: Working conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. 1.      Insert Environment (Plant Conditions including clean room and wafer fabrications 90%, Typical office 10%) with frequent exposure to machinery and loud noise. 2.      Frequent domestic travel up to 75% including air travel, car, and overnight
