About this role

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD. At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we’re looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don’t shy away from humanity’s challenges but are determined to help solve them.   AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward.

THE ROLE

AMD’s Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) designs, builds, and delivers innovative technology infrastructure that powers the digital world. We develop cloud‑enabling server solutions that help the world’s leading companies turn ideas into reality. Our customers are future‑focused—and so are we—continuously staying ahead of the next challenge. As experts across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, DPEG serves as the critical bridge between complex problems and scalable solutions for top cloud and telecom providers. Our customers rely on us to solve their most advanced server design challenges. Join our team and help build industry‑leading, high‑performance platforms along with talented and passionate people.   As part of the DC Platform Engineering organization, the Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead the management and execution of AI and hyperscale server platform programs across the full product lifecycle—from product definition and planning through development, production, release, and end of life.   THE PERSON: In this role, the  Validation Technical Program Manager  will serve as the key technical leader responsible for end‑to‑end rack‑level server solution validation. This position works cross‑functionally to define, develop, and execute comprehensive validation test strategies that ensure product functionality and compliance with specifications and requirements, including firmware and software stacks.   The role encompasses validation across board, system, and rack‑level integration, including  electrical, power, mechanical, thermal, shock and vibration, compliance, system integration, platform validation, reliability, and firmware  domains.   This individual will lead triage and debug efforts, identify root causes, and drive timely issue resolution. The role requires close collaboration with architecture, mechanical design, platform, firmware, and system engineering teams throughout all phases of the design process.   Strong judgment is essential in defining test specifications, requirements, strategies, and methodologies across electrical, firmware, and platform‑level validation. The TPM will lead test planning and execution, manage schedules, track requirements, summarize results, and develop validation documentation. The role also includes participation in both internal and customer‑facing program core team meetings to communicate status, track progress, and ensure readiness for key milestones. Additionally, this role provides hardware validation support for Internal Server R&D initiatives and contributes to system validation automation efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own  server platform validation execution  across board, system, and rack levels, ensuring alignment to program requirements and milestones. Define and drive  comprehensive validation test plans  covering electrical, power, mechanical, thermal, shock & vibration, compliance, reliability, firmware, and system integration domains. Partner closely with architecture, mechanical, platform, firmware, and system engineering teams to  coordinate validation activities  throughout the design lifecycle. Apply sound technical judgment in developing  test
