About the Role: We are looking for a talented, driven, and experienced public policy professional to join TikTok's Brazil Public Policy team, bringing expertise in data center and digital infrastructure policy to support the team's work across one of the company's key strategic priorities.. This role will be responsible for shaping and executing TikTok's public policy strategy to support the company's infrastructure investments in Brazil, working closely with government stakeholders and cross-functional partners across Infrastructure, Legal, Regulatory, Communications, and other business teams. The successful candidate will build and strengthen relationships with policymakers and key external stakeholders, identify and navigate emerging regulatory and political developments, and help advance policy outcomes that enable sustainable infrastructure growth while supporting TikTok's long-term business objectives in Brazil.
What you will do: - Represent TikTok before elected officials, government agencies, ministries, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and other stakeholders on policy issues relevant to TikTok, its users, and its long-term business priorities in Brazil. - Bring significant subject matter expertise in the field of Tech Infrastructure to the team, with a particular focus on data centers, digital infrastructure, energy, taxation, environmental licensing, industrial policy, investment incentives, and related regulatory matters; - Help shape TikTok’s Brazil data center public policy strategy, translating global infrastructure priorities into a locally grounded engagement plan that reflects Brazil’s political, regulatory, and business environment; - Proactively identify emerging policy, political, and regulatory developments that may affect TikTok’s infrastructure and broader business priorities in Brazil, providing timely analysis, risk assessments, and recommended courses of action to internal stakeholders. - Work directly with external engagement on data center and infrastructure-related policy matters, including with government officials, regulators, industry associations, trade groups, public interest organizations, and academic experts; - Support the Brazil Public Policy team in developing broader business and engagement strategies, advising internal leadership on emerging policy matters and helping advance the team’s overall priorities in Brazil; - Work closely with Infrastructure, Legal, Regulatory, Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility, Product, and other cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that support TikTok’s Brazil infrastructure objectives; - Monitor political, legislative, regulatory, and social developments in Brazil, identifying opportunities to advance TikTok’s objectives and tackling risks that may require mitigation; - Build and maintain a strong network of external stakeholders, including government officials, industry partners, public policy experts, civil society organizations, and academics focused on technology, infrastructure, energy, and economic development; - Prepare policy analysis, briefing materials, advocacy strategies, and internal updates that clearly communicate complex regulatory developments and their implications for TikTok. - Escalate policy risks, stakeholder concerns, and strategic opportunities to internal teams as appropriate, helping drive coordinated and effective decision-making.
