Wisconsin Public Service Corp, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Utility Service Clerk in our Green Bay, Wisconsin location. This position is represented by Local No. 420 IUOE. Job Summary
A Utility Service Clerk makes and receives company-wide residential and commercial customer contacts including but not limited to: new electric & gas service, removal, relocations & upgrades. This position provides efficient customer service by handling customer requests, maintaining operations communications, processing work requests, and maintaining records. Job Responsibilities
Initiate and receive residential & commercial inquiries relating to application for service requests:
Handle application for new, remove, relocation and upgrade gas and electric service requests Respond to customer inquiries received from multiple channels; call, email, fax, or mail Collect gas and electric load information for residential & commercial
Process residential & commercial work requests (new, remove, relocation and upgrade):
Create work requests orders for all new, remove, relocation and upgrade service requests Process non-design work requests for new, remove, relocation & upgrades Initiate site visits to field personnel to determine design or non-design services
Process residential non-service billing and payments
send customer letter and/or contract create non-service billing construction accounts which includes advances and contributions payment requests prior to the installation or completion of construction utility work receive payments for non-service billing construction accounts and send to payment processing
Process commercial non-service billing and payments (This is not exclusively Local 420 work.):
send customer letter and/or contract create non-service billing construction accounts which includes advances and contributions payment requests prior to the installation or completion of construction utility work receive payments for non-service billing construction accounts and send to payment processing create premise and periodic review for refunds Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma, HSED, or GED 3 years customer service experience is required. Delivery of customer service and sales; including inbound/outbound calls Experience with computers, including window-based pc environment Testing requirements
Selection System for Customer Service (SACS): This test is a multitasking simulation that places the candidate in a realistic environment and directly measures the candidate’s ability to switch among job-related tasks, while maintaining the quality and accuracy critical in customer service positions. This simulation measures 10 competencies that predict success across customer service role. The 10 competencies include customer focus, multitasking, ownership, positive attitude, problem solving, processing speed, quality focus, sales focus, integrity, and words per minute (WPM). End Date: 07/31/2026 Minimum Posting Range: $30.15 Maximum Posting Range: $38.69 The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
