Your Mission

As our new BI / Reporting Specialist, you will turn enterprise data into dashboards, semantic models and self-service products that stakeholders across the Firm rely on every day. You will: Partner with data stewards, data engineers and business experts across Marketing, HR, Finance and client engagements to deliver trusted reporting on top of our databases, IDH and Fabric data products. Design and deliver production BI solutions and semantic models – authoring dashboards, paginated reports and models in Power BI (Direct Lake / Import / DirectQuery ) using DAX and Power Query, with role-level security and workspace governance. Translate ambiguous business questions into clear KPIs, well-modelled semantic layers and dashboards, aligned to a shared business glossary. Build and optimise analytics products on modern cloud platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks), including lakehouse architectures and CI/CD via Git and Azure DevOps. Embed governance, data quality and GDPR-aware design – lineage, certified datasets and Purview-aligned classification – into every reporting product. Grow analytics literacy across PwC Malta, mentoring junior analysts and raising the bar on dashboard quality, performance and reliability. This is a role with room to grow: you’ll work on cross-industry problems at scale, collaborate across the PwC Network, and innovate with modern AI tooling such as Copilot in Power BI and Fabric. About You
We’re looking for someone who: Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. Brings 3–5 years designing and delivering production BI solutions and semantic models across cross-functional domains (Finance, Marketing, HR, Risk, Engagement Delivery). Has advanced Power BI skills (dashboards, paginated reports, semantic models, DAX, Power Query, role-level security) and advanced SQL (querying, optimisation and dimensional modelling across engines such as Synapse, Fabric Warehouse, Snowflake or BigQuery ). Understands modern analytics architecture ( lakehouse , medallion, star-schema modelling) and BIOps practices (version control, deployment pipelines, dataset certification, usage monitoring). Has hands-on experience with cloud analytics platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks) and with the Power Platform and Dataverse (Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Power Apps integration). Applies governance and data-quality principles, including lineage, certified datasets and GDPR-aware report design. Brings a unique perspective and values collaboration. Is eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to a diverse team. Demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills, translating data into clear, decision-ready conversations. Nice to have: exposure to Python or R for light ML and forecasting; familiarity with enterprise source systems (Oracle Fusion, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Workday); experience with GenAI enablement and natural-language
