Job Location: Wellington Other Potential Locations: Wellington, KS  Anticipated Start Date: 08/31/2026 Number of Positions: 4  Salary Range: Entry Rate $37.18/hr; Full Rate $44.26/hr - annual pay of $77,331- $92,060 w/3 - 5 years seniority

Embark on a fulfilling career at BNSF Railway, where joining our Mechanical Department means contributing to the backbone of our nation's rail infrastructure. Carman Road Truck position maintains and repair railcars on-site, ensuring operational efficiency and safety for the railroad.

This is a full-time (40hrs/wk) position and is subject to on-call, overtime, nights, alternating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Mechanical shops operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. May be required to report to the work location within 30 minutes of call.

Travel is minimum.

Training is company paid on-the-job paid training.

Key responsibilities may include

Carman Welder/Road Truck – Emergency Response to performing car repair on road trucks in and away from origin point.
