What this job involves: As a Critical Environments Operating Engineer at JLL, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining mission-critical infrastructure that powers supports our clients operations. This role is essential to ensuring 100% uptime for our clients' most vital operations. Working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, you'll apply best practice systems and problem-solving skills to keep critical facilities running seamlessly 24/7. What your day-to-day will look like: Executes racking, stacking, and cabling without supervision Performs structured cable dressing (vertical/horizontal) Verifies labeling accuracy and documentation Supports decomms and remediation work Assists with vendor supervision and validation Updates tickets / CMMS with accurate as‑built details Required Qualifications: 2+ years of hands-on experience working in a data center or critical facility environment OSHA‑30 Fiber Handling & Cleaning Advanced Cabling Standards Rack Elevation & Documentation Reading Lift & Material Handling Certification (Provided by Client) Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document activities and communicate technical information clearly Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Flexibility to work different schedules, including holidays, and respond to site emergencies as needed Ability to frequently walk, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and work overhead in large campus-like settings Preferred Qualifications: Experience using CMMS work order management system Experience with critical infrastructure in mission-critical or 24/7 operational environments Previous experience in vendor management and contractor coordination CDCP or equivalent This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Estimated compensation for this position: 50,000.00 – 75,000.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
