About this role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is changing the way the world uses cloud computing by exposing our infrastructure and solutions to companies of all sizes, everywhere. The Cloud Foundations Organization (CF) is a GCP product area with a mission to delight customers through the world’s most innovative and trusted cloud infrastructure and solutions, powered by AI. This role is part of the AI and Cloud Expansion Technical Program Manager (TPM) team, a cross-functional team working closely with data center, capacity, services, and other product and engineering teams, as well as with customers and business teams to deliver and drive scale and efficiency of AI and Cloud expansion programs globally. We are looking for a TPM who has in-depth experience with hyperscale cloud regions, data centers, strategic cloud capacity, cloud customer requirements, and cloud infra technical program management. Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Drive a portfolio of large, complex AI and Cloud Expansion programs, identifying opportunities to increase expansion scale and speed by 10X while securing necessary investments. Coordinate a set of technical and non-technical stakeholders to streamline region buildouts, automate capacity delivery, and establish milestone reporting processes. Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to meet business objectives, effectively resolving or escalating issues to ensure on-time program delivery. Maintain an up-to-date view of program health and implement systematic methods to track status, manage risks, and ensure overall success. Create and implement new processes and tooling designed specifically to reduce operational toil for both engineering teams and customers.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in technical program management. 10 years of experience managing execution of programs that span across multiple engineering teams. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a Master's degree or PhD. Sovereign cloud buildout and hyperscale data center deployment experience, leading programs for scaling cloud expansion while ensuring unparalleled customer experience.
