Job Description
Summary: We are looking for a rigorous, cloud-native Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python, while owning the entire containerized application lifecycle on Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for building optimized container images, securely managing them in Azure Container Registry (ACR), and deploying them across the right Azure hosting models—leveraging Azure Container Apps (ACA) for serverless microservices, Azure Container Instances (ACI) for isolated/burst workloads, and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) for full-scale orchestration.
Core Responsibilities
Application Development: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Python. Container Lifecycle & Registry Management: Build, optimize , and securely store container images in Azure Container Registry (ACR), incorporating vulnerability scanning and automated image building into pipelines. Multi-Platform Azure Deployment: Match application requirements to the appropriate Azure hosting tier: ACA, ACI and AKS. Release Management: Create and maintain deployment templates and release automation using Helm charts to ensure reliable, repeatable, and scalable deployments across platforms. Required Qualifications & Experience Programming: Strong proficiency in Java and Python based backend development with understanding of design patterns. Backend Expertise: Proven professional experience building complex backend systems using Java and Python . Containerization Engine: Deep, hands-on experience with Docker —building optimized, secure, and lightweight container images. Kubernetes & Helm Mastery: Strong operational knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and production experience running workloads on AKS , alongside proficiency in writing and managing Helm charts. Observability Skills: Experience implementing centralized monitoring and tracing using OpenTelemetry or similar observability frameworks. DevOps & Containerization: Familiarity with version control (Git), building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) . Pay Range: United States of America: 107,000 USD - 125,700 USD Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
