Logistics Technical Program Mgr., AWS Cloud Logistics

Do you want to build the systems that move cloud infrastructure across the globe? AWS Cloud Logistics is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive the automation and technical strategy behind one of the fastest-growing logistics operations in the world. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of complex, cross-functional technology programs that form the backbone of how AWS delivers cloud capacity at scale. You will help to manage the lifecycle of systems spanning transportation management, warehouse management, procure-to-pay, and supply chain visibility, working at the intersection of enterprise software, operational excellence, and data-driven decision making. You will partner closely with regional operations teams to understand how freight moves, identify process gaps and inefficiencies, define requirements, prioritize phased delivery, and translate business needs into production-ready products and automation. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, connects dots across organizations, and can communicate a clear path forward to engineering teams, operations leaders, and senior executives alike. You will influence technical architecture, negotiate priorities across competing stakeholders, and deliver measurable impact measured in tens of millions of dollars of operational value annually. Key job responsibilities - Own end-to-end program delivery for a portfolio of logistics technology initiatives, from requirements definition through production launch, covering transportation, warehouse, payment, and visibility systems. - Partner with regional operations and procurement teams to deeply understand supply chain processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and phased delivery roadmaps. - Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions across multiple engineering teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, simplified, and aligned to long-term platform goals. - Lead cross-functional coordination across supply chain programs that integrate multiple fulfillment and logistics systems, managing dependencies, sequencing work, and driving alignment across organizations. - Establish and maintain program health mechanisms including status reporting, risk identification, dependency tracking, and escalation paths; communicate portfolio status and trade-off recommendations to senior leadership. A day in the life You might start by triaging a carrier integration issue with engineering, then lead a design review for an automated payment capability where you challenge assumptions and drive decisions. After lunch, you workshop process pain points with regional operations leaders and translate what you hear into actionable requirements. Later, you write a portfolio status narrative for leadership, connecting dependencies across programs and recommending trade-offs. Before wrapping up, you check in on a user acceptance test for a warehouse automation milestone, ensuring operations has what they need to validate in production.
