 Position Role Type: Onsite U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. Our software engineering teams regularly utilize a variety of skills, including requirements analysis, synthesis of new and existing architectures that meld commercial and military communication functionality, and software engineering development best practices for complex systems where the ability to execute the mission is paramount. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location and is to be worked Onsite , 5 days a week. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What YOU will do
Collaborate on System Requirements and Software Development: Join a dynamic software team in a cross-functional environment, contributing to the definition of system requirements and translating them into detailed software requirements, UML/SysML models, and diagrams for a large-scale program Effective Communication and Team Collaboration: Work closely with other software engineers and team members to ensure clear communication and collaboration, fostering a cohesive, solution-focused environment across multiple disciplines Develop Code to Meet Customer and Certification Standards: Collaborate with your team to maintain, enhance, and develop software that aligns with customer requirements and meets certification standards, ensuring both functionality and compliance Software Implementation in Test Environments: Take responsibility for producing high-quality software implementations and integrating them within testing environments, ensuring the code is thoroughly tested and meets all specified requirements What YOU will learn: You will learn about our growing engineering team in Puerto Rico; What we do? Qualifications you must have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience Educational knowledge and project application on software development using Python, C++, or similar, including debugging, integration, and deployment on software platforms. Familiarity with software development processes (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD) and tools (e.g., Git, Gitlab, JIRA). Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written). U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications
We Prefer: Knowledge in basic Linux shell scripting, Python or Perl Working knowledge of programming languages such as C++ or C# Software level debugging experience. Experience with Database technologies Familiarity with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Coverity.
