Job Summary
Reporting to the CIO, the Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications will lead the strategy, business alignment, delivery, and optimization of enterprise applications supporting Finance, Supply Chain, HR and Legal. This leader will oversee multiple functional application areas and provide direction to global teams responsible for business relationship management, requirements definition, solution architecture, application development, implementation, support, and continuous improvement. As a senior member of the IT leadership team, the Sr. Director will partner with business and technology leaders to translate enterprise priorities into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. The role will shape multi-year application strategies, guide portfolio prioritization, influence investment decisions, manage strategic vendor relationships, and lead through directors, managers, employees, contractors, and implementation partners. This leader will help shape NetApp's future operating model by leveraging enterprise applications, AI, automation, and digital capabilities to accelerate enterprise transformation, improve business performance, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The successful candidate will act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leaders, bringing an external perspective on emerging technologies, enterprise platforms, AI innovation, intelligent automation, and industry best practices. Job Responsibilities
Lead the enterprise applications portfolio supporting Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, and related business capabilities, ensuring alignment with business priorities, IT strategy, security requirements, and enterprise architecture. Define and lead the multi-year enterprise applications strategy, including future-state architecture, platform modernization, application rationalization, AI integration, and business capability roadmaps. Partner with senior business and IT leaders to define priorities, evaluate trade-offs, align investments, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Product Operating Model & Governance Define and evolve the operating model governing how business functions and IT jointly prioritize, fund, govern, deliver, and continuously improve enterprise application capabilities. Establish clear decision rights, accountability models, governance processes, investment frameworks, and performance measures across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Legal, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data, and AI organizations. Establish a product-based approach across the enterprise applications portfolio, emphasizing product vision, roadmap management, adoption, user experience, value realization, and continuous optimization. Delivery & Operational Excellence Lead global teams responsible for business relationship management, requirements definition, solution architecture, application development, integration, implementation, support, and continuous improvement. Partner with enterprise architecture, data, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to modernize, simplify, secure, and scale the enterprise applications ecosystem. AI, Automation & Digital Transformation Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools, intelligent automation, predictive insights, and workflow optimization across enterprise applications and business processes. Launch and oversee AI pilots and transformation programs in partnership with data, security, legal, architecture, and business leaders to ensure responsible, compliant, and value-driven adoption. Identify opportunities to improve business performance through process simplification, automation, analytics, and modern digital capabilities.
