The Opportunity

As a part of the Dealer Portfolio Management team, the Analyst is responsible for Portfolio Risk Management and identifying growth and profit opportunities. Responsibilities may include dealer interface/service; continuous monitoring of company Dealer lending portfolios; concentrating on areas of risk and loss prevention. Requires critical analysis and frequent contact with dealership personnel, matrix partners and outside stakeholders. Must comply with strict adherence to company risk management policies and guidelines. Incumbent is in the process of developing basic skills. Almost all activities are transaction oriented (and not related to new business). A significant portion of time is spent on basic work (e.g., due diligence, document processing, financial/ statistical analysis).

The Work Itself

Monitor and manage assigned portfolio through data obtained from both internal and external sources. Conduct proactive risk recognition. Manage exposure utilizing current company risk management policies, procedures and guidelines. Develop appropriate action plans to mitigate risk and resolve outstanding issues. Ensure wholesale credit lines are appropriate based on credit factors, sales rates, inventory turnover and seasonal/market fluctuations; ensure outstanding remain within established credit lines at all times. Manage exposure utilizing current company risk management policies, procedures and guidelines. Execute all action plans and contingencies. Prepare and participate in Risk and Opportunities Meetings (ROM). Use a collaborative approach with other business units including Administration, Risk, Sales, and Underwriting. Identify growth opportunities within portfolio and leverage Business Development for revenue growth. Maximize corporate profitability and ROE.

Minimum Qualifications

0+ years of experience High school Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred Qualifications HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate / Bachelor's degree in business related discipline preferred. 3 + years in financial services or similar industry is needed. Prior leadership experience is preferred. Education may be used as a proxy for experience. Perform technical tasks required to support ongoing business operations. Skilled technician in a hands-on environment, often highly specialized. Typically requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs. Strong financial analysis and analytic/problem solving skills required.
