The Executive Director, Underwriting & Pricing Strategy is a critical leadership role responsible for driving underwriting strategy, risk assessment, pricing support, and client-facing financial partnerships that support the organization's growth and profitability objectives. This leader will serve as a key strategic partner to one of the organization's largest and most complex healthcare clients, helping shape underwriting decisions, pricing strategies, and financial solutions that balance customer needs with sustainable business performance. This Executive Director will lead a high-performing team while influencing cross-functional partners across underwriting, pricing, finance, account management, and product organizations. The ideal candidate combines deep underwriting expertise, strong business acumen, and exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to deliver innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving healthcare marketplace.

Lead the development and execution of underwriting strategies that support organizational growth, profitability, membership, and financial performance objectives. Serve as a senior strategic partner to a major healthcare client, building trusted relationships and collaborating closely with client underwriting and pricing counterparts. Guide the assessment, evaluation, and management of risk while ensuring underwriting decisions align with established financial and operational goals. Develop and implement underwriting methodologies, governance frameworks, policies, and processes that drive consistency, compliance, and operational excellence. Partner with pricing strategy, finance, and business leaders to develop competitive solutions, pricing constructs, and customized approaches that address evolving market needs. Provide leadership in the design and evaluation of new healthcare products, services, and offerings. Monitor underwriting performance, profitability, loss ratio trends, and key operational metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending corrective actions. Analyze competitive activity, market dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform underwriting and pricing strategies. Help establish and evolve client engagement processes, operating models, and governance structures to strengthen strategic partnerships, improve business outcomes, and deliver contract compliance. Lead, coach, and develop a team of underwriting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Drive cross-functional collaboration across finance, underwriting, pricing, product, and client-facing teams to achieve business objectives.

Significant progressive leadership experience in healthcare underwriting, risk management, pricing, or related financial disciplines; PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) experience strongly preferred Deep expertise in underwriting methodologies, risk assessment, profitability management, pricing strategy, and loss ratio performance. Proven experience managing client relationships and serving as a strategic advisor to senior internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to balance customer needs with financial and underwriting discipline to achieve both growth and profitability objectives. Experience developing and implementing underwriting policies, governance frameworks, and process improvements. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess market opportunities, competitive positioning,
