A Day in the Life                     As an Engineering Program Manager within Medtronic's Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team, you will lead cross-functional engineering programs that support the development, industrialization, and launch of innovative medical technologies. Working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and external partners, you'll help transform new ideas into scalable manufacturing solutions that improve patient outcomes worldwide. This is a fully onsite position based in Danvers, MA , where in-person collaboration is essential to supporting our AME development teams and delivering life-changing therapies. Responsibilities may include: Lead engineering programs supporting new product development, manufacturing readiness, and technology transfer. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies. Guide engineering activities from concept through commercialization. Partner cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and engineering solutions. Lead technical feasibility assessments and support process development and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure engineering documentation and technical quality requirements are maintained throughout the product lifecycle. Coordinate activities with suppliers, consultants, and external partners to meet program objectives. Monitor program performance, resolve technical challenges, and communicate progress to key stakeholders. Mentor engineering talent and foster collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree with minimum of 5 years of related experience OR Masters degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of engineering, manufacturing engineering, product development, or technical program management experience. Experience leading complex cross-functional engineering projects. Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting medical device product development and commercialization. Knowledge of Design Controls, FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485, or other regulated product development frameworks. Experience with manufacturing automation, process development, equipment validation, or Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. Experience leading technology transfers, process scale-up, or manufacturing readiness initiatives. PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or similar project management/process improvement certification. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven decision-making approach. Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and build strong cross-functional partnerships. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
